Nick Westfield is a husband, father of two, and Army veteran. He lives in Indiana with his wife, their two daughters, and a very lazy rottweiler.

In addition to reading, he enjoys running, backpacking, and drumming (poorly). Prior to writing books, Nick served 7 years in the military, including one tour in Afghanistan. He has run two marathons, and has backpacked in Patagonia, Nepal, the Swiss Alps, and the big three mountain ranges of the United States (Appalachians, Rockies, and Sierra Nevada). Nick now chases two kids around, which is more work than all these experiences combined.
